Pronominal Verbs: Present Conditional

Choose the right verb: pronominal or regular.
Pay attention to the direct object. If there is no direct object, then the verb is pronominal. Remember that a direct object is directly related to the verb; there is no preposition between the two. It is also important to remember that it answers the question : Qui? and Quoi?, not “à qui? or “à quoi”.

  1. Nous t’avons prévenue qu’il (ne tiendrait pas, ne se tiendrait pas) sa promesse.
  2. Si tu l’obligeais à partir, il (sentirait, se sentirait) mal.
  3. Si vous preniez vos études plus au sérieux, vous (vous débarrasseriez, débarrasseriez) de vos jeux vidéos et vous (vous concentreriez, concentreriez) uniquement sur vos études.
