du côté de

“du côté de” has many meanings depending on the context. It can mean “towards” or “near” or “from” when it’s followed with a noun representing a location. It can also mean, “with”, “on the part of”, or “by”.

For example:

Nous allons du côté de Marseille, vous venez avec nous ?
We’re heading towards Marseille, are you coming with us?
