Démission du pape Benoît XVI

Lundi, le pape Benoît XVI a créé une onde de choc dans le monde entier en annonçant sa décision de démissionner le 28 février prochain. Dans un communiqué officiel, il a déclaré : « Je suis convaincu que, dû à mon âge avancé, mes forces ne me permettent plus d'exercer correctement le ministère » consistant à diriger l'Eglise catholique qui compte un milliard de fidèles dans le monde.
